About Light Now
Many people learn how to survive difficult seasons of life, but never really learn how to support themselves ongoing. When life suddenly changes through loss, illness, overwhelm and other life challenges, it is natural to feel floored, lost or unsure what to do next.
Judy understands that feeling. She helps people move through life's difficult seasons with caring support, practical tools and steady guidance, so they can feel calmer, clearer, stronger and more capable of moving forward.
Calm. Connect. Create.

Meet Judy
People often tell me I am a wise guide. If so, I think that wisdom comes less from qualifications and more from living fully, paying attention, and being willing to learn from life's challenges. My life has included great joy, wonderful adventures, raising a family, serious illness, professional success, deep love and profound loss.
In 1983, at the age of 37, I faced a life-threatening illness. For a time, I was heartbroken at the thought of leaving my husband John and everything we were building together. That experience taught me something important: human beings are often far stronger than they realise.
Many years later, life presented another huge challenge when I lost John unexpectedly after 54 years of a great, dynamic marriage. Grief became one of my greatest teachers. Through both despair and healing, I focused on collecting practical tools, strategies and insights that could help myself, and others, to navigate these difficult seasons of life.
Today, Light Now allows me to share what I have learned with people who are ready to move forward into greater peace and possibilities.
With love and respect, Judy Hinwood.
Our Philosophy
Working with the Light is what sets Light Now apart.
By “Light,” I mean that universal life-force that is the source of all life. It is the quiet energy that gives us vitality, hope and the capacity to grow, even during life’s most difficult seasons.
I believe this life-force is available to all of us. We can draw on it to ease the effects of stress, illuminate new possibilities and help us find a clearer path forward. Each of us has an inner well of strength and wisdom. My role is not to become that source for you, but to help you reconnect with it, so that you can continue drawing on it long after our work together has
finished.
The tools and strategies I share are designed to become lifelong habits, practical resources that help you lighten your life’s load, not just today, but for the years ahead. People understand the Light in different ways. Some see it as the life-force within us. Others understand it spiritually, while some simply recognise it as the quiet source of resilience, hope and
healing that exists within every human being. Whatever your perspective, you are warmly welcome here.
Many of the tools I use help people access this life-force through calming practices, visualisations, focused thinking and greater self-awareness. As stress settles, clarity often begins to emerge. We become better able to respond to life with calm rather than reaction, with hope rather than fear.
I don’t believe we are meant to face life’s challenges alone. We are here to learn, to grow, to stumble sometimes, and to keep moving forward with greater understanding and compassion.
The only thing I ask of my clients is willingness—an open heart, an open mind, and a genuine commitment to practise the tools and strategies we discover together. Lasting change comes not simply from understanding new ideas, but from gently applying them in everyday life.
If you are willing to take those steps, I will gladly offer my experience, my support and my wholehearted commitment to helping you lighten your life’s load. It would be an honour to walk alongside you for part of your journey.
With love,
Judy Hinwood, DC

Core principles
- The individual personality is sacred, to be respected, understood and loved.
- Emotional wellbeing starts with feeling safe enough to slow down and take a breath. That is the first goal.
- I may meet people when they are vulnerable, emotional and weakened, and they have every right to be that way.
- Simple, easily understood tools are more powerful. Tools must work in real life, not just in sessions.
- Feeling calmer and lighter is not selfish. It helps people continue living and functioning.
